If you do some research, you will find that although the sound is perfect as an FM Transmitter, when

you are talking on the phone, there is some GSM noise on the car speakers.

I have been using mine for quite a while, and it is great as a hands-free phone except for the static.

When you get a call, your music stops playing, you reach over and press ANSWER on your iPhone, and

keep both hands on the wheel while carrying on your conversation. Your caller hears no static, and their

voice comes over the speakers. You just talk normally, and the iPhone picks up your voice just fine. 

To make a call, I recommend the OneTapDial App on your iPhone. Move the photos to your first page on the 

iPhone. While driving, just reach over and press the photo - of your office, home, friend etc., and carry on 

driving. The music stops, it dials, and you can talk without taking your hands off the steering wheel.

With the new laws in Canada outlawing the use of Hand-held phones while driving, this is a good solution at

a good price. 

Other sellers say their unit has no beeps or static. It's NOT true. They are all the same unit imported from

China - just the packaging is different - Mediagate, AllKit, Complete - I've tried them all. This is NOT a problem with the 

device, it's because your iPhone is close to thye car speakers.

This device IS NOT compatible with the Otterbox Defender case. The bottom opening on the case is a tiny bit too small for the connector.
